About Lotus Root Starch Jade
Jade has been worked for tools and jewellery for thousands of years because it is tough rather than merely hard: it resists chipping, which makes it forgiving to drill and to wear. Because this is natural material, expect variation in colour, veining and translucency between beads and between orders. We sort by eye rather than by machine, so a strand reads as a set instead of a row of identical beads.
Care and shipping
Wipe with a soft dry cloth; avoid ultrasonic cleaners, prolonged soaking and household chemicals. Store away from harder stones to keep the polish. Orders are packed and dispatched from our studio, and every parcel is checked before it goes out. If a bead arrives damaged, send us a photo and we will replace it.
